Jobs around Myrtle Beach, SC / Wilmington, NC?

Hi guys,

I’m looking for a somewhat seasonal job around the Myrtle Beach/Wilmington area for this summer and fall. Anybody know of a tug or barge company around this area? I know there’s a ferry at Bald Head, but it looks like they are only hiring for dock positions. I think I can’t work on one of the numerous casino or party boats because of my age.

I really want to get some sea time and experience before I go to one of the academies next spring with some transfer credits.

There’s a lot of headboats, etc around there. I think McCallister used to be downtown Wilmington. Might be a bunkering outfit at the port. You might want to look into the military depot at Sunny point near southport.

Been a while since I lived up there. You can get on a casino boat at 18, right?

Yessir. I believe that applies to all boats that serve alcohol.

Just saw a job posting for dock master at the heritage plantation in Pawleys island,SC. I think they want a 100ton license though to apply.

Moran and mcallister have boats in Wilmington and Charleston. Moran and cressent have boats in savannah.
