Hey All, I’m back to the forums after a few year hiatus. I just wanted some opinions on what to wear to interviews for various OSV companies. I went to an academy for a few years then had to go back to work due to lack of funds. Need deckhanding week on week off in the offshore Santa Barbara channel for the last year while I finished up the academy, just passed my Mate exams and am planning on heading down to the gulf to go knock on doors and drop off apps. I just wanted to see what was appropriate dress to show up in. I know a suit is really proffesional but is it a bit much? Maybe just khakis and a button up shirt. I don’t know. Planning on hitting up HOS, ECO, Harvey, Ensco, etc. what do you think these guys are looking for.
