I’m not at all surprised by this incident. I’ve sailed in this area the last two summers and the watchkeepers on this ferry are crazy cowboys who seem clueless regarding the COLREGS. It was just a matter of time. It reminds me of the Greek ferry that grounded on an island in a similar fashion. That time there was nobody on the bridge; they were all in the captain’s cabin watching a soccer game! :eek:
Ferries are to clueless as grapes are to wine.
