How To Survive an Election

Funny that in your link called “Fraud Megathread” of the first 13 links: 11 are printing errors (not fraud) and 2 are the same event of actual fraud from 2018 for which the perpetrators were arrested. Nice try though, at least you provided links.

So there’s no evidence you could see in there? Nothing?

Fine. It’s not my list, but I’ve heard audio, for example, of postal workers being ordered to back date postal ballots received after the closing date. Perhaps that’s evidence (ie directly witnessed) on an admittedly small scale, but evidence nevertheless.

The fact that I don’t and you don’t have the evidence doesn’t mean there is none in the hands of people in authority. These things need to be investigated properly for everyone’s sake for all people to have confidence in their elections.

Holy crap you and I basically agree!! Must be time to close the thread! I’ll wait for the hard evidence.

Until then, just as Christmas commercials start the day after Halloween, It must be time to start campaigning for 2024

Well, under Democratic Party rules, why campaign? Just post in your vote(s).

You do not live in this country, nor are you an American citizen. Not your problem.

Wrong. If America goes down the dunny, so does much of western civilisation. Not a small thing. My nation’s prosperity is connected to a strong, prosperous and democratic USA.

So mail in lots of votes. You need them all to preserve your version of democracy.

I thought we were done here, but…

…because you haven’t provided any. In this entire thread you’ve provided no links for anyone to click and see your source, see the evidence you are suggesting exists. Hearsay isn’t admirable in court. I provided a direct quote from todays court transcripts of Trumps own lawyers refuting his own allegations.

Furthermore, the potential for fraud is not evidence or proof of fraud. Dead voters on voter rolls should be corrected. But, almost 8,000 Americans die every day. There are going to be dead people on the voter rolls. But did dead people vote? No one has presented proof of that here.

I generally loath Fox News, really all political talking heads for that matter. But as the most Trump-friendly main stream network on TV, I’ve followed their election coverage. It was astonishing to watch even Fox hosts continuously clarify “we should point out there is no evidence of fraud” after someone comments with no evidence whatsoever. When Fox isn’t standing up for Trump you know its bad. Otherwise I google accusations and read most of the links I can find, typically the most recent and detailed. If the news story doesn’t provide any evidence, I don’t give it much credit. If the news story is classified as Opinion by its own publisher, I don’t usually read it.

Jughead is correct. The US election was followed closely by western nations and the results have a bearing on the economies of many nations. Our major paper had 5 pages of coverage with a breakdown of each state.

We can track our mail in votes. You are spreading disinformation about a voting process in a country that you are not a citizen of and don’t actually understand. I was able to track my absentee ballot, which is exactly the same as a mail in ballot, from when it was sent to me to when I returned it and it was counted. My ballot had a barcode that was tracked throughout the postal system and the local Board of Elections where I live.

You don’t find Americans discussing Australian politics because we don’t care. I find it odd that you are so obsessed with the US.

This forum is probably unique in that most participants, unlike many Americans know where Australia is. New Zealand is even less well known and that’s just the way we like it.

Great! That’s good.

My point (I thought it was obvious but …) your system seems to be moving towards mailed ballots and that method (rather than in-person) is the system most susceptible to fraud.

For a start, voter rolls are notoriously out of date and not rigorously maintained. In some states far more voters are registered than reside in the state. Judicial Watch is an organisation (perhaps alone?) attempting to force states by legal processes to obey their own electoral laws and clean up their rolls.

So you may be able to track your vote, but you can also, it seems, track the other several votes you might make as well. Don’t laugh. Some states sent ballots to every elector on their rolls. Many ended up being delivered to the proper recipient who had moved state. Who would know if she filled in both the postal ballot in one state and another in her current state? What happened to the millions of ballots not deliverable?

Furthermore, why is election “DAY” held over months - before and after the actual day? Why did some states say signatures didn’t have to match on postal votes or witnesses details have to check out? Why do you need 10,000 separate electoral organisations, each with their own rules? Why are postal workers front line activists in postal voting shenannigans?

I’ve explained that. Hogsnort reiterated. Your nation matters to the world.

From my viewpoint, your electoral system is a shambles, rife with loopholes for fraud, a mass of senseless contradictions, openly rigged by some corrupt officials and as soon as your man pops his head in front, you claim it’s all over, he won fair and square, nothing to see here folks, move along. He just needed a few more votes … and we found them for him.

Only Americans can clean it up. Joe Biden certainly won’t. He won’t even agree to investigations of fraudulent activity. Why would he change a system his mob controls?

Quite alright with this forum, it is open to all legitimate mariners, or young people aspiring to be mariners, Agree, there are some grumpy fucks on here, but they actually have a few good messages/info at times, Mr Konrad who had a big hand in creating this site, is a decent fellow. We don;t agree sometimes, but that is quite alright. Many of us old farts have differing opinions, and that’s ok too.

Seems to be an incredible plot to overthrow only Trump, but allow Republican senators to remain in power. And the only fraud took place in the states where he lost. It’s incredible.

Not really. Why would Biden rig elections in California or Chicago? No need. They knew which states would be close and only the close ones can be fiddled to the degree necessary. And it helps if the state and the electoral machinery is run by Dems. They didn’t need to do it everywhere.

There’s this thing called Trump Derangement Syndrome. You would know about it. Trump was the target. The remainder of wimpy Republicans can be swung with favours. Without Trump, where are the rock-ribbed Republicans willing to die on this hill? They are backing off already.

Chicago is a city, not a state. And how come they just didn’t take Florida, a state that has one of the worst records of running elections in the country? It’s not fraud when Democrats win the state and valid when republicans win. That’s not even remotely possible. The senate matters maybe even more than the presidency, and yet there is Mitch McConnell, elected yet again.

Again, you don’t understand this country. You don’t live here, you don’t pay taxes here, you don’t vote here, you don’t have property here, you haven’t raised children here and I’m willing to bet you’ve never even been here on vacation. You don’t understand the regional differences between our people and the things that bring us together or divide us. And yet, much like Ombugge, you insert yourself into every single conversation about our country. It’s pathetic.
However, I also question why I even bother replying to some internet troll that has zero ability to influence my life in any way and is from a country that was literally founded by criminals that I’d never bother to visit in my life.

I’m well aware. We foreigners probably know more about your country than many of your own citizens.

Beats me.

I never said that. I suspect the things I said and await further news. You seem to be afraid of ‘further news’.

And starting to waver. We’ll see.

Stop it. You’ll go blind. I’ve been there often … and on holidays with my wife, cruised east and west coasts and Hawaii. I know enough and it seems more than you as you’ve sheltered yourself from contrary views.

I bother because I care about America’s future. Sadly, it seems not to be reciprocated. And by the way, this nation was founded by the British who had learnt a thing or two in the errors made in your place. Yes, it was a convict settlement but they weren’t slaves, like yours. We’re rather proud of our convict heritage and our healthy scepticism of authority. Don’t come here. You would like it and have to change your mind.

Wow, on my first cup of coffee and my dear Bug has been slashed at and wasn’t involved in this nonsense. It takes a village.

Well, I lived in the US for over a decade - legally. I was fully immersed in US culture.
It’s a big beautiful country but landscapes don’t pay the bills so, like I had to do in my country of origin long ago, I left. I won’t mind returning for a nice big holiday in the mountains and see the big wild forests again. Where the population density is the lowest, the US is at its best.

Ouch!
