Per Sævik (83) was awarded this year’s “Blue Maritime Cluster Award” during “The maritime cluster conference 2024”. Njål Sævik, chairman of Havila, received the award on behalf of his father during the conference on Thursday.
Per Sævik started his career in fishing as early as 12 years old when he bought his first boat. He later expanded the business, including by buying a ring slot snurper in the 1970s and entered the oil industry in 1981. Over several decades, the Sævik family has built up a group with a focus on offshore, ship technology, tourism and transport, writes GCE Blue Maritime Cluster on its Facebook pages.

Well deserved. He is a true gründer and a gentleman that has made millions true hard work, innovation and consideration for others.
Yet, he still lives in the small house he built with his wife some 60 years ago, drive a beat up old car and does not spend a dime more than he have to on himself still today.
