I know that most of the big outfits are hiring Quaterly,(Scuttlebut anyway),does anyone know when compaines will be hiring Abs again, like Hornbeck,ECO ,GOL,and the other ones,I have a 1600 Master/3000itc ,near coastal ,and Master of Towing,Unlimited AB,and all that goes with it,I know you have to show up to get hired so dont want to go when thier doors are closed. Thanks
Where did you get that crazy idea? If a company needs to fill a position tomorrow, they will try to hire someone today. They are not going to wait until the beginning of the next quarter, or what ever the scuttlebut you heard. All of the offices are open everyday during normal business hours, again why would think any different. There are about 25 other people on this thread right now looking for the same type of position, it has been said before it is a buyers market right now. You have to sell yourself to a company, and sell hard to beet out all the rest. Look through the rest of this thread at how many other people are in your exact shoes. Good luck !!!
Show up art the eco office at 0730 monday morning and be waiting. They will hire you as a training captain and put you through dp school. Don’t apply as an ab.
3000 ITC and MOT? I’d be looking for much more than AB. MOT is harder to get than DP on an osv

You think that MOT means much. Im not being sarcastic either. I got one and was wondering if it plays much into gettting hired on an OSV. Looking to get on to an OSV with an even time schedule
I know they have difficulty placing guys on the anchor boats at times due to the lack of MOT. Doesn’t really help with mud boats but it does make you more versatile in the companies eyes and means you should have some boat handling skill unless it’s all pencil whipped.
For even time HOS is your best bet but they don’t have any anchor boats.
