I believe there is some Michelin starred restaurants in Buenos Aires and Mendoza that are in the Southern Hemisphere.
Australia and New Zealand have never been visited by Michelin Inspectors. Australia uses a classification system where the best have a Three Hat classification and be assured these will be up there with the best in the world.
The rumours are rife which restaurants will be awarded Michelin Stars and some of the chefs have been awarded Michelin Stars previously in Dubai, Paris, London and New York.
By golly, we will head them off with a FIFA Peace Prize.
You are apparently right:

New Zealand, with a clean environment, climates suitable from just about any type of plants, crops and husbandry, from sub-tropical in the northern parts of North Island, temperate on most parts and Alpine in the mountainous part, plus abundant seafood from the oceans around.

There are also some small sub-Antarctic island belonging to NZ:
The Snares, Auckland Islands (including Enderby), and Campbell Island.
PS: Macquarie Island is often confused as being part of NZ’s Southern Ocean territory. (It is actually Australian)
Not everybody is happy with the photo.
