Hello, I was wondering if anyone had experience with the port of Cotonou in Benin?
If so, what can you remember that was positive/negative and possible points of improvement.

Was there a few months ago on a containership.
Had to wait a few hours for a pilot so had to have 4 armed guards for that time and until alongside.Due to threat of armed robbery, hijacking etc.
Chief mate needed to see a dentist to have a tooth pulled. Never happened as authorities wanted 14 days quarantine before seeing a dentist. We were there for 12 hours or so.
When alongside cargo work went OK.
Back in the mid-2000s was on the LASH MV Atlantic Forest and we stopped there. Was supposed to be a week or so stop but due to the currents our operating window for cargo ops was limited to about 4-6 hours a day.
Ended up being there about 4 weeks, long enough for one of the QMEDs to find love and get married.
