Please Help -new career working on ships

I was wondering if some people could help me out. I want to start a new career working on ships. I plan to be an ordinary seaman. Im 48 years old. I have gotten my twic card and passport and just did my coast guard physical and passed. I know i have to pay a fee to get the MMC. I just really dont know what to do next. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi all. I just recently got my MMC and TWIC in the mail and I’ve just scoured the web looking for jobs on the great lakes to apply for. Are there any not on this list that I can contact looking for work? Really trying to get off the street and back in a ship!

Inexperienced OS looking for work

Good evening, does anyone know of any companies that are hiring for OS Deckhands? Like, actively hiring. I have had my MMC, TWIC, and Medcard for about 6 months and nothing. I have tried Sealift Command and was looking at tug companies to gain experience.
