I’m getting conflicting reports. On a 12-645 Marine Engine that’s been upgraded to 1500 HP. What is the base fuel burn rate? I know many many different factors can and do contribute to the GPH but I’m hoping for just a good starting point to go by.
When in doubt go by 1 gallon per day per HP

How big of a wheel ? 4.5 - 5.0 reduction region ? Running at 850 or 900 ?
That’s right. 4.5:1 and turning 900 RPM.
On an EMD that’s exactly right unless you are 900rpm the whole & then it might be a bit more not much.
