OK so now you have stated the obvious, but what is your solution?
It is necessary to start somewhere since you cannot do everything immediately.
From the linked article:
Unless Singapore install a nuclear power source they cant be green as they have a tiny land mass with the most power hungry consumers on the planet by a large margin due to everything airconditioned 24/7/365.
Surrounded by a dirty ship industry and refineries not to mention a huge Data Centre population consuming massive power and a large airport for long haul aircraft.
whats the point, its a useless waste of resource that might make 0.0000000000000001% difference or not be able to measure the difference it makes.
Its just a head line.
As I have said before if they were interested in reducing pollution the buses and tug boats would be lpg powered and could of done that decades ago.
Taxis should of been 40 years ago.

YARA BIRKELAND is the world’s first fully electric and autonomous container vessel with zero emissions. With this container vessel, Yara will reduce diesel-powered truck haulage by 40,000 journeys a year.
Yara and technology company KONGSBERG have teamed up to build the world’s first autonomous and zero-emission container vessel: YARA BIRKELAND
With this vessel, Yara will remove 40,000 diesel-powered truck journeys every year, and reduce NOx (Nitrogen oxide) and CO2 emissions, improve road safety, reduce road dust formation and traffic noise. The zero-emission vessel will transport mineral fertilizer from Yara’s production plant in Porsgrunn, Norway to the regional export port in Brevik. On the technical side, KONGSBERG is responsible for the development and delivery of all essential technologies at YARA BIRKELAND. This applies to the sensors and integration required for remote and autonomous operations, as well as electrical propulsion, battery and control systems.YARA BIRKELAND was put into commercial operation in Porsgrunn in the spring of 2022. During the first to years of operation, the vessel will go through a gradual transition towards full autonomous sailing.
