Now that’s not fair. In this day of equal pay for equal work the ladies that work as crew coordinators deserve a similar pay to that of the people that work on the boats. It’s a lot of work being on the phone all the time, making travel arrangements, ordering the groceries, calling the gas man, balancing the checkbook and doing all the things that keep a boat running. Imagine being a housewife with 3 or 4 houses full of kids.

Not answering the phone, not setting up crew change, deciding where on the bayou to go to lunch for two hours, calling about that new bay boat, and yelling at the kids for not keeping the boat painted with the paint they haven’t gotten in three months sounds really difficult.

The cake is all the same, only the color of the frosting changes. The people you work with (and spend 1/2 to 2/3 of your life with) are more important than the color of the boat you work on, or even how many little green pieces of paper you get. (Within reason) At least for me.

I was at the meeting AND I THOUGHT they asked if there was any questions. I’m positive nobody brought this up, but I’m sure you would have if you had been there.
