I recently graduated ______________________ Academy and am looking for work. Well really, I want you to look for me please. I have very limited ship handling experience but would love to get a 3rd or DPO spot with a drilling company because I like money. I kinda busy cleaning Mom’s basement right now so I have a place to crash following graduation so please send me detailed contact information as well as payscales, training schedules and benefits particulars. Will NOT consider AB jobs so don’t waste my time. I earned my bridge spot through hard work in class and 210 days of seatime on summer cruises. I’d really prefer to start as a DPO at about 900/day if that helps you narrow down my search. And please don’t tell me to use the search function…I know its there but I already told you I’m a little busy.

omg! i dint even kno about this site but i found it the othr day wen I was gona sea if i coud get a job on the intrnet an i typd in ship jobs in google this site cam up and sea yu giys talkin alot abot ofshore and yeah I know I doan no athin bout workin offshor becasue my sckool didnt teach me anythin abowt it since my profesers all thot the ofshore was beneef a unlimted guy like me to work in and was only for the redneck limtd tonage guys and I think they are write but I keap hearin storys from othr guise abowt how much mony you can make oin it an I realy relly to make alot of mony althoh I also realy wan to werk on a fraiter typ ship goin two really kool placs but sinc the unoins ar al ful of a bunch uf old guys who have been saleing lyke forevr and woant die so I can get my A book in two years not hav to nite mayt any and sale captane wen I am 30 so instead I want to go on a realy awsome brannew drilship so I can be captane on one of them when I am stil like realy yung and can really party and get laid alot if Im making like $250k a yere working only a month at a time eeven though I will nevr hav done anything in my carere excep push a bunch of buttons wich is cool cauz itz just like playin Doom on my PS3 but that doesnt matter becauz I am from an acadami and alreadi no how to do everythin at see on a ship alredy and dont need to get any experienc and Im reali sory to all you guys with the litle licences but its not my falt that you didnt go to sckool like me im sory that you want me to work on a bunch of other litle botes but I dont want to and datz knot wye i went to sckool anyway and theres lotz of you litle tunage guys to work on them anyway and I am special because I was a cummandor of the reggiment at my akademy so deserv to get the realy primo jobs anyway and hey I also want to upgrade my licens as fast as I can and realy realy want my DP so if any of you guys know any ways I can get around the rules at get time and a half becauze I gonna be worked a 12 hour day anyway so think I deserv to get my captanes license when I am 25 and I also herd their are clases you can take to get extra time extra fast so I can upgrad even faster than everbody els caus my professers told me you coud so if any of you guys here about one of thees grate jobs you can reech me on facebook because I am theyre wenever I am not sleeping witch is at least 12hours a day until 3 or 4 in ther afternune caus I was out partying at nite with some mony my rich dad givs me becaus he and my mom alwaze thot I was special and made thins relly ezy four me and alwaze told me how realy smart I waz ad all.

not sure where that came from this morning! We actually have 2 A&M cadets on for their summer cruise. Pretty good kids but they tell stories about classmates like we so often see visiting here…

Hey…I’m in my 50’s. Video games when I was young was “pong” and then later came the “atari” with Missile Defence I redismember…after that I’m lucky to even know what PS3 stands for.

That’s it…Space Invaders with the little nuclear explosions! Man does that bring back memories of a mispent youth (actually I was already too old for the Atari but my little brothers must have had 20 games for it. I had a 5 speed stingray bike through with a banana seat and a nerf bar in the back (is that the right term…nerf bar?) Man and there were bell bottom jeans and my hair was a massive helmet! I see pictures of myself from the early 70’s and all I see is hair!
As far as games onboard, it is up to the master of course. I wouldn’t have any problem with you gaming as long as you actually slept when off watch. Doze off on the bridge and we’ll see if your X-Box 360 can float!
Go work on a mud boat for starters to learn the ropes and most important upgrade to a second with only 243 sea days, you ole winner you.
Also should have done a commercial cruise on a mud boat, taken dp basic before joining the vessel so you would have 30 days under your belt of dp time, a drill contractor would hire you maybe as a jdpo
