Deckhand Positions Baltimore to NYC?

Anyone know of any tug companies hiring between Baltimore and NYC? I’m looking for 7/7, 14/14 or 14/7…

Hit the usual suspects: moran, mcallister, dann marine, and vane bros. plus there are lots of smaller companies in NY harbor.

Kirby, Reinauer, Bouchard, Dann Ocean also!

Hornbeck sold their tugs to Genesis Marine and I heard that a lot of the guys are going to stay with Hornbeck on the Supply boat side. That means that they should have some openings coming up in the near future!

Fact. Same info I got right from the boats.

Those guys who stayed with Genesis got a healthy signing bonus & a nice raise as well.

Donjon is looking. Decent boats, cool work,14/14 or 28/28. Good pay. Non union

I thought DonJon was local 25

DonJon boats are non union, dredges are 25

No dredge guy are union boats are not

Oh ok! I knew that the offer was almost to good to pass on it.

Genesis going to build anything? Those are old boats, I think the newest barge is from 05.

Not sure how soon but they are planning on pinning some of the bigger boats and doing new builds. From the looks of it they are going all in which is a nice change from Hornbeck…

The hornbeck tug/barge stuff always looked to be in decent shape. Maybe nothing special but not junk. The barges are fairly modern less the pins. Some have thrusters.

And they’re no longer owned by HOS

No shit. -

Pardon me slick

I thought we would see some more orders for some downstream oil and gas vessels with the big boom the gulf. Great for Crowley and seacore I’m interested to see what the towing industry will do.

I know bouchard is building bigger new stuff, reinauer has been aggressively, and has a few more on the ways at the moment. Rumour is they may have another couple big ATB’s on the drawing board…
