Company paid training

Honestly, who is getting it.

Just went to Houston last month on days off for company paid training. All hotel, airfare and rental car included. Best of all I was on payroll too. Plenty of companies out there paying for it. Well the good companies are paying for training. If you work for Nocturnal Aviation Industries might be lucky to get your check on time much less training.

You must be on a tug. I have to go to Houston, pay my own travel, rent my own car and I’m not on payroll. They’re paying for classes, my room and a crap per diem.

Same here.

ECO you can sign up for whatever you want/need and have the option of staying at the Best Chouestern for free…not bad if you like feral cats and black mold

Thanks for the input. I was just wondering because i recently took a few classes and I was one of a few out of the class paying for my own flight hotel car and class. Kind of embarresing really.

I took the advanced fire fighting class @ mid atlantic this spring, I was the only one out of 12 paying for the works myself. Signing a contract for 3 years, or pay entire cost out of pocket. But at the end of the day I dont owe anyone anything, thats worth something I guess.

Outside of DP, the required courses, 3 slops and a flop and transportation to Piney Point were included in your SIU membership.

Working 28/28, it was hard to make scheduled courses without losing money or screwing up rotation. The solution was the companies and union scheduled required courses during the annual company “lovefest” meetings. It worked out well.

Also, Crowley had a deal for the AB to mate program. ABs, on recomendation from several captains, received their 28/28 rotation base pay while attending required courses at Piney Point. Not sure if it’s still in effect.

McAllister pays for courses and 8 hrs a day. They have paid for hotels and flights for out of towers, rental car is usually on your own dime.

Nope OSV fleet. Think back to your time in Amelia at the beginning of the year. Your crew had lunch onboard with us several times. Back when we had our good cook unlike the one we are stuck with now.

Lol… Lucky dog you have a cook.

How did you manage to stay on pay roll ad get everything paid for you then? I got told tough luck. Lol and I won’t talk about our cook…

It depends on the classes on wether you get the full freight deal. We would gladly trade you for Pablo or Oliver!

What classes are the full freight deal?

The really good ones…

Clearly DP is not a really good one… Go figure. I would gladly trade Oliver for Pablo too haha
