CFR Downloads

Does anyone know a place online where I can download the CFR’s or free? The GPO website has each part broken up into five or ten individual PDF’s, making downloading the entire relevant CFR’s impractical.

Is this the site you’ve tried?: http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/

Yeah, that’s where I was looking, but I couldn’t find a place where you could download a whole CFR in say a zip folder or something. I’m trying to find a copy to download so I can put it on my ship’s LAN, we have internet access but it’s way to slow to make it practical to go online everytime.

Yeah I know what you mean. I resorted to saving them as web pages. Not bad either because the hyperlinks work. I put them all on a thumb drive and carry them with me.

I’ll give that a shot. When you saved it did you save from one of the main pages (I.E table of contents for a CFR) or did you have to go in and save each individual page.

Old post but thought someone may be interested to see that they have the various CFRs broken down to large pdfs making it easier to download and view while away from the internet. Just a little fyi, if you can’t find each volume in a particular year, just change it from 2011 to 2010 which will have all of various volumes.

Could be useful.

As an aside I actually read the “User Note” at beginning of ecfr, and it states that it is the most up to date but it is NOT a legal copy of CFR’s. It won’t stop me using it as I would have thought that the most up to date is the way to go. I am sure the CG are up to date. Honest!
