This is interesting, did not know tma offered this. I have never seen a HUET trainer here, or really anyone else using the facilities. Maybe I just haven’t looked hard enough. Anyone know anything else about this, or used any of the services?http://www.tamug.edu/corps/CMTS.html

I’m pretty sure they give their courses at their own facility off campus over by the end of the causeway.
I wonder why the students do not get to use much of this stuff offered. We use some of it, but things like the fast rescue boat, huet, sea survival, 24hour Hazwhopper, etc would be nice. I guess small boat training, and lifeboat class covers some of it.
I tried to sign up for their classes a couple of times, but it does not appear that thye get enou enrollment to actually run most of the classes. This is not a for profit company that has to market itself effectively or go own of business. These are state employees. Its about the same at all the academies. I have given up on classes at academies. MPT is about the same price and they reliably run their advertised classes.
I believe those classes are taught at the Teichman Rd. Campus building. B. Orange may be part of that teaching but I’m not for certain on that.
