Cadet Time on a tug

I’m currently attending GLMA(Great Lakes Maritime) where I should be writing for my 3rd Mates license(ocean unlimited)/1st Class Pilots(Lakes) this December.
I am wshing I had just gone to PMI in Seattle, so this January I am hoping to get aboard a tug in the PNW area… harbor, towing, what ever I can get aboard. For about 45 days…
I do want to make sure I can be involved as much as possible with vessel ops, so any one have any recommendations for companies? (I have a few classmates who have sailed with certain companies and found that they were only allowed to be observers, in effect)
We have STCW letters, and MMD(Cadet/OS/WiperFH),Twics, etc…
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

“Can you toss salad”

I prefer a salad bar setup in the galley, but if she’s hot enough and has just taken a shower…

I just thought I’d mention the cook thing in case some smaller companies were looking for more versatile cadets… (i.e. deckhand/cook)I am not afraid to work, where-ever…
