Buy American this Holiday Season

Are you shopping, but sick of sifting through flimsy crap made in sweatshops? I hate what “Black Friday” has come to represent- idiots trampling one another to death for cheap plastic trinkets hauled over here by hungry Chinese crews who have to beg stevedores for a few bucks for a bag of rice. Nuts to that!

These are products directories. Most appear to be good links.

http://www.acontinuouslean.com/the-american-list/ <—lots of apparel

http://www.redoxx.com/ <— Luggage and accessories made in Montana, I have several pieces and I can vouch for it. Good stuff, will take a real beating!

Some will ship to FPO/APO addresses; check first. Good hunting!

Absolutely. People should try and support American workers and their families by voting with our $. Sometimes there is an extremely large disparity in price, but usually not. There is a good app for iDevices that’s helps with sourcing Made in the USA products. I believe it is called Made in USA.

I try always to buy USA made . It gets more difficult but it can be done. Thanks for those 4 links, I use madeinusa.org for most things

Searching Made in USA on any search engine could yield plenty of results but here are a few more good links.

With regards to some of the harder to find US Made items:

New Balance makes quite a few of their shoe styles in the USA. Red Wing is the only one I have found that makes some of their work boots in the USA.

Green Toys and Step2 make excellent children’s toys in the USA. All Green Toys are but not all Step2 are US made.

Nice! Thanks for the additional links. Nobody has an excuse to be a Made In Slave-istan Scrooge this year!
