I will have to check with my friends I sailed with to see what we called it. Some on here may remember what we called it., or the actual name for the tool. I hated it. Bumblebee perhaps? It was a yellow tool underneath all the rust it churned up.
We used something very similar to this and called them knuckle busters.
I’ve seen those before, not the thing I was referring to. It rotated/spun on the end, was not air powered. It had an electric motor that spun the shaft, , seems the shaft/hose was about 6 or so feet, maybe longer .

That’s the one, only this one is modern.
Those machines are great, but according to the video below it was $500k for a 1000W laser rust remover 3 years ago, I doubt the cost has come down that much since then.

A needlegun would not be a suitable tool for flash rust.
