Bayou Inn Motel - Galliano

Anyone ever stay @ Bayou Inn Motel? Thoughts/opinions?

Shady place, questionable characters, bar room connected to motel. you would be better off at Holiday inn express across from the Wal Mart or Best Western on back road(if you don’t mind paying a little extra)

The Days Inn is pretty nice and when I stayed there on New Years Day, it was only $65. Just tossing out another option.

I usually stay at the Galliano Inn on the 4 lane. It’s not bad, nice people at the desk, central location, clean, and mostly good ole’ boat trash and rig pigs who stay there. $85.99 a night…

It’s damn sure better than the Bayou Inn and world’s apart from Boudreaux’s Condo’s.

If you like cheep and shady, there is the Apple Inn on LA1 in LaRose and the Sugar Bowl in Houma. I don’t suguest the Sugar Bowl. The roaches and crack whores are kinda pushy…

The Holiday Inn in Larose is nice, but man, they charge an arm and a leg for a room. I don’t know that I would stay there if I wasn’t on an expense account.

Is the “Dixie Hotel” in Morgan City still in business???

I just went by it and I think it was open…

Sounds like most of the Karaoke Whore bars found in almost every country where seamen go ashore. There is probably a check cashing place nearby here in the states.

I like Baymont in Houma, about $100 a night.

Days in is around $75, but I decided I will spend an extra $25 a night to not hear the people above me stomping around and the doors in the hall slamming shut because they built the walls too thin. My sleep is worth it.

Check on line, you can get a discount for booking more hen 2 weeks in advance and for staying for a few nights.

Thanks for all the info. Houma does seem to have the cheapest rooms, though it is a bit of a drive to Golden Meadow/Galliano. I think I’m gonna hold off on booking a room until after I fly down and knock on a few doors. Should I get hired and have to attend a class, I’m gonna just book whatever is closest. Thanks again er’body!
