From what I can remember, the application to Texas A&M was more difficult ( but not too hard ) than the Texas Maritime Academy application. If it is still the same, their decisions were based off your high school transcript, a math placement test, and maybe a few other test I am forgetting. Your navy experience should help with your academy application though. Good luck!
