Anybody at HOS want to buy a 2x winter parka?

Brand new just got in today and stuck with it. I guess if I ate non-stop for 21 days it might fit? Or if you have the HOS Black winter parka in an XL and need a bigger size I’ll swap. Same problem with my insulated coveralls as well. Dammit to hell. I called and changed my shirts to XL, I just assumed they would change the coveralls and parka as well… Bullshit.

With tags $99.95 - Dickies brand.

Damn why did you order all that heavy gear it doesn’t get that cold down here…oh wait…

I’m partial to the Carhart hoodies and the float coat is great for the handful of times it gets “cold” down in the GOM.

“Cold in the GOM” lol… Hell I’m so busy on deck “I aint got time to be cold” Becides usually ya put all that crap on, 10 mins into working your shucking it off.

Reb . The downside to all the paid travel is that they are now trying to save money by freezing your assets off closer to home.

Naaaa I go Ice fishing and camping/hunting in the winter.

let me get this right not only are you wearing your work uniforms while icefishing ect. but you have paid over 100 bucks to do so

Lol cold on the gulf coast. Now that’s a good one.

It happens…rarely. I’ve seen ice on the buoys in the Mississippi River.

Hell, I remember it snowing once in Pascagoula. IIRC it was Christmas Eve to boot!

All kidding aside, my company gave out insulated Carhart Coveralls and a lot of the crew laughed when I ordered a set. Well, even with working on a Pascagoula, MS to Tampa, FL run there was a number of times that I was very glad that I had them. They came real handy on those cold nights when taking on bunkers.

And it never gets rough in the GOM either.
(The second greatest lie!)

It might not get NY cold but I’ve seen plenty of ice on deck while offshore in the gulf. It might only last a day or so, but that’s enough to wish for warmer clothes.

I’ve lived down here all my life and it has snowed twice.
