Nice point trek… if the thread wasn’t labeled WHALE WARS!
Leave the man alone. He has every right to post his opinion on this stupid show, and his concern over the death of human beings on either side
If you want to talk about jobs, manning, American Merchant Sailor issues, etc. then start your own thread. If bottom draggers are your concern, start that discussion.
As it turns out he predicted a dangerous collision only hours before it occurred. Someone very well could have been killed. He mearly asked for help to stop it before it happened.
Is it because your a self described tree hugger from San Fran? Have you worked for Paul Watson? The “genius” as you call him. Do you just really, really hate Japanese?
Man you’ve got some nerve running him off.
It was pretty obvious to me that bat boat rammed the ship anyway. On top of that, shine a high powered laser in my eye and drag nets under my props when I’m underway and see what happens.
These idiots will kill someone. Keep up the fight MikeE.
Please…
That guy doesn’t give a crap about safety at sea. He’s probably beating off at this very moment watching the video of the latest incident. He certainly does have a right to sound off about this, and any other subject he wants to. However, he’s posting here on gCaptain, in the Professional Mariner section, no less. He’s not a mariner, and has been posting drivel about Sea Shepherd (and nothing else) ever since he got here. His first post here he talks about his ‘hatred’. He’s encouraged people here on this board to take action against Sea Shepherd by sending black faxes. He’s bragged about his ‘Tora tora tora’ feat. He’s talked about his desire to rip holes in the Rhibs. He’s solicited help here in his schemes against Sea Shepherd.
None of this is what a Professional Mariner would do, and gCaptain doesn’t exist to serve as his private army.
So, yeah, I got tired of reading his crap. And I let him know. If he’s got some vendetta against Sea Shepherd, go be all butt-hurt somewhere else. I suggest Free Republic, there’s always more room for hot air over there.
As for me, what are you asking? Yes, I currently live in San Francisco. A beautiful city. So what? I’ve lived in lots of places. That means nothing; I lived in Wasilla, Alaska, Sarah Palin’s hometown, also. What does that tell you? Nothing. And yes, I like trees. And clean water, and fresh air. Do I hate the Japanese? Of course not. And no, I’m not a member of Sea Shepherd, but I am against whaling, and think what the Japanese are doing is so obviously a scam. Personally, I think the IWC should lift the moratorium on whaling. Less whales would be killed that way.
