American politics

I’ll be honest, I hadn’t been following this. But based on what I just read on Fox’s headline story:

An unidentified US citizen (not representing the government) was inadvertently captured speaking on the phone about Russian sanctions to the Russian Ambassador (who was being monitored by the NSA). 16 individuals in the administration who were authorized to ask who that person was, asked who that person was. The report specifically says that list does not indicate whether those 16 individuals received the requested information. That US citizen has been revealed to be Flynn, who admitted to lying to the FBI about that conversation.

The document listing the 16 names requesting the unmasking was just declassified and released by the current Acting DNI. That document states:

“Each individual was an authorized recipient of the original report and the unmasking was approved through NSA’s standard process, which includes a review of the justification for the request,” the document said.

Which part should I be freaking out about?
