It was based on the previous stautory restriction that an OSV cannot be over 500 GRT. That restriction was removed and is no longer applicable. Even if it was still valid, it would not apply to a 1600 GRT/3,000 GT endorsement that is not restricted to OSVs. - - - Updated - - - If iot was from an endorsement as mate or Master 500 that isn’t restricted to OSVs, no, it won;t effect the upgrade.

So the sky isn’t falling lol. Everybody back to marsec level I.
