What companies have you checked out? The smaller, the better when it comes to getting your feet wet.

Make sure you check out Abdon Callais, C&G and the other small companies.
Ok. Thank u guys for the information
Hornbeck says they are hiring os on indeed.com
Just saw a advertisment from Cal Dive in Workboat Mag looking for people
If you are looking for entry level OS/Deckhand type work consider working on inland tow boats and such. They are always hiring. Working on inland waters, your “sea” time will still count towards getting an AB Special. You can still look around for other work but at least you will be getting money and time and experience in the meanwhile. Go on simply hired, indeed, link up: search “deckhand” there are jobs right now.
AB Unlimited – 1080 days deck service on Oceans or Great Lakes. 12.05-7
AB Limited – 540 days deck service on vessels 100 GRT or over, not exclusive to rivers & smaller inland lakes of the U.S.
AB Special – 360 days deck service on any navigable waters of the U.S. 12.05-7
AB OSV – 180 days deck service on any navigable waters of the U.S. 12.05-7
