Talk about “lines”. That was a classically beautiful vessel…

Interesting that they have a sail out up forward. It’s customary to raise a sail on the aftermost mast like a spanker to steady the yaw at anchor.

This is the Salvage vessel D/S Draugen that I remember Between jobs she was alongside at Fladmark’s base in Åleund, as here:

I used to visit as a newspaper seller in the 1950s.

Rare artefacts found at Hornsea 3 site

Rare lead ingots have been discovered on a 17th Century shipwreck at Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm site.
The three ingots weigh around 70kg each and will be housed at the Peak District Mining Museum in Matlock, Derbyshire, Ørsted said.

The artefacts are stamped with marks ‘IS’, ‘EB’ and ‘H’ and were found on a vessel which may have been Dutch en route to the Netherlands, the company added.
Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 team worked with MSDS Marine, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and Historic England to analyse and preserve the wreck and its cargo before resuming operation.

Christopher Pater, head of marine planning at Historic England, said: “It has been fascinating to see this story unfold, from the point of discovering the ingots through to seeing them being put on display at the Peak District Mining Museum.
“There’s so much to learn from historic shipwrecks and cargos which are discovered during offshore development and this shows the positive way we’ve all worked together to explore and study this shipwreck.”
