I’d like to see the EPA get out of the industry altogether. All the new paperwork and tracking/reporting requirements don’t make the environment any cleaner.
The EPA lost a court case to stay our of the VGP B.S. They knew what a can of worms it would be and boy have we all found out for ourselves.

whatever you want to believe
let me just say how shallow this place is these days…a serious thread which deserved serious discussion gets no such contributions but only more partisan warfare or flippant replies from the kids…
Let’s try again…Trump loved to tell his followers that he would be the most awesome job creating President ever so what could he do to create more jobs in our industry and how can we mariners communicate this to him?
Btw…you have to know for certain now that the government will be buying the AIVIQ for at least a dollar on the dollar whether the USCG wants it or not. Bet she ends up in a mothball fleet somewhere?
For years while your man was in office, every political discussion that came up you tried to put a stop to it under the guise of keeping politics out of the forum. For the most part we did keep politics out of here and it was nice. But now that your people are on the way out politics are free reign? We have a naive want to be mariner from the north that thinks workers deaths in India should be paid for by us, a washed up norskie sucking up welfare of a country he hasn’t lived in in forty years, and you to listen to about politics now. Can’t hardly have a thread anymore without Norwegian superiority, human rights, or damn democrats coming up in it. Damn shame.
Fine…y"all win so we should just BURN THIS THREAD because obviously Trump will do NOTHING to help our industry just like his predecessor
Why do you keep overreacting and bouncing off the walls? The sky isn’t falling. And if your’re that good about predicting the future, let’s talk lottery numbers.
I don’t think Trump will necessarily do anything specific for our industry but his policies may provide some confidence to business in general. I do think his energy policies will help but not in the short term. I guess we’ll see how it works out. As far as his cabinet picks go it’s gonna be a few weeks before we see who he puts in place contrary to the claims of the media that he’s taking too long to name people. He’s going to have a rough relationship with the media. They obviously don’t like him and he’s proven them all wrong and exposed them for their bias. I think the interesting thing to watch over the next year will be how the Democratic Party regroups and rebuilds itself because they are in shambles right now. Everyone said Trump was going to blow up the Republican Party but Clinton’s spectacular implosion did just that to the dems…
