What is your occupation?

World famous sea trucker?

Semper Fi and God bless the USA to that, and in the past, but hopefully soon return to a literal seabag.

Yeah, I return to a “seabag” every time I go home!

That’s what I put on the app but my bad spelling and auto correct changed it to marine I am sorry if I upset any real Marines.

I told that to my ex-boss once, that spell check changed “have a nice day” to “go screw yourself”

That’s just as bad as hitting reply all instead of just reply!!

Sorta-retired paranoid ex-military.

I write in Professional Mariner.

When I’m on here, I am a mariner. When I’m with my friends, I simply work on a boat. To my boss, I’m a yes sir man, yacht captain, can you fix it now type of guy. To the Feds, I’m in the transportation industry.
(We all know the worst type of cargo is the kind that talks.)

Great one, cmakin!

That’s pretty funny!

Exactly, couldn’t have said it better.

One came to mind today ! “Ballet Director”

It just so happens that the soon to retire director of the Miami (FL) Ballet Company is a 1955 Throgs Neck Tech graduate - in marine transportation. I had to read that article twice, but it caught my eye today in a waiting room,

Now think about it - organizing the operation of many people to perform synchronized and sequenced moves might be a “ballet” Anyway - I had a chuckle and thought about how the heck does a maritime grad end up as a top level ballet director. Go figure …
