Yep, It was the Dragon Lady in N.Y.
One time when we were given our Pay Checks they said NOT to cash them for a couple of Days. Well, One of the Chief’s decided to run right up the street and cash his. So, the next day we are in the office and out comes Evelyn’s Daughter yelling at everyone. So, the Chief looks at her and says "You are a F##kING (insert a word beginning with C and Ending in unt) just like your Mother. Well, unfortunately he did not know that Evelyn had walked in and was standing behind him. I almost shit when she looked him right in the eye and said “No One is as Big a (insert a word beginning with C and Ending in unt) as I am but thanks for complimenting my Daughter”.
There are a lot of other stories that I know about working there as My Old Man was Marine Superintendent for a Tank Barge Company and was Friends with the Franks and those that ran Standard Tank in Bayonne N.J. As I am not sure if the Statute of Limitations has expired or not so some of these stories will never be put in writing.
I will say one thing though, If you worked for Evelyn and came back when she called plus did not bitch about every little thing, you could make very good money. I saw her do somethings for her Employees that No Other Company that I have ever work for ever did. Basically, if you treated her right she treated you right.[/QUOTE]
Yea. My grandfather told me some wild stories of when he worked for her. The things they got away with are astounding.
