The only reason to abandon the Jones Act is so that the difference in wages can stay outside the US and enrich those I named above. The American taxpayer who purchases the contents of a container will not save a penny but will be forced to spend dollars to cover the economic and social damage caused by selling our jobs and industries to the lowest bidder.
