I think it is safe to say I like the majority of commenters on gCaptain forum. Since that is the case, I feel more sad about all the Hitler comparisons instead of finding it hilarious like I should. I know, I know, Bush W, Bush H & Reagan got compared to Hitler too because thats how Democrats roll but just disappointing for me. I haven’t had the bandwidth to listen to the nonstop, uninterrupted, whole 3 hours of the non-scripted, non-teleprompter, no cue card Trump interview with Rogan but the parts I did hear were like two dudes shooting the breeze. Nothing Hitler’ist at all. In my life I never heard of a politician doing a 3 hr, on the record, live, no barriers interview. That’s insane. Either Trump is a genius or he ain’t hiding anything. Literally, I’ve read at least 30+ non-fiction books about WW2, Churchill, Roosevelt, Hitler, Allied Generals & other accounts of that era. Liberals making the Hitler comparisons seriously just blows my mind. Either these people have no clue about Adolf Hitler or they’re 100% committed to spreading liberal Democrat propaganda. When people have Hitlerlist aspirations, they don’t get into politics in their 40’s like W did or late 70 when Trump was first elected, they do the 50, 60 yrs in politics like Biden or Polosi. I have 3 questions for liberals worried about the reincarnation of Hitler in a 79 yrs old Trump. 1. Did Hitler tell jokes? 2. Did Hitler dance? 3. Why didn’t a single freaking one of you complain or make Hitler comparisons when your Democrat masters threw all the Democrat primary votes in the trash & just appointed a candidate, Harris, to run for the highest office in the land. I would have been pissed over #3 but you guys just kept on clapping like it was normal, something one Hitlers crowds normally did when he pulled his undemocratic bullshit.

I didn’t read the book but did read your intresting comment with the quotes from the book. How is what you refrenced exclusive to Trump? Those things can be associated to every POTUS in my lifetime, probably to every POTUS we ever had during a time of crisis. Do you remember when we were told US citizens were killed & a US consultant was overran because of a YouTube video? That prez was never held accountable by his base. Or how some pictures of some flatbed trucks in a desert by Colin Powell got used to invade & destory a country? We had a POTUS lie under oath & teased the judicial system by asking “what is the definition of is is” & his supporters ate it up, wouldn’t call him out on anything. Listen to the song Reagan by Killer Mike & do a poll on how much Reagan is still loved. But a convicted felon pissing on the Constitution and inciting an attack on Congress while threatening to imprison his political enemies and media critics is a Trump thing. Don’t think I used the word Trump in the post. But I certainly see much of this in the MAGA movement, and in Trump. On a scale and degree that I have never seen before. I understand you don’t see that, or maybe worse see it, and justify it, with a series of “whatabout” arguments. He is no worse than others is not a beaming endorsement.

The thread title has the words, this is what they voted for in it. If Trump can pull off his stated goals of getting cease fires in Ukraine & Israel/Gaza he should win the Nobel Peace Prize. I think a large chunk of the people voted for Trump because of his anti war deescalation stance.

This is a legitimate concern & I hope we do too. I would be as worried as you are if I voted for a candidate in a primary, that candidate won almost 100% of the votes but was pushed out by a few uber elites. Then those few uber elites appointed a candidate for the highest office on the planet solely for political correctness reasons without any input from their average joe constitutes. I’m with you, we need real candidates running in '28, not appointed ones like Democrat fall of '24 or the old Soviet Union & Cuba.
You have a system where the party decides who you can vote for then once in they cant swap them out.
I prefer the Westminster system, you vote for the party and they put the person forward,( with internal vote) if there is huge public pressure of a failure the party swaps them out.
He’s not a ‘convicted felon’ simply because your law says a conviction needs both a finding of guilt AND a sentence. No sentence yet and there’s unlikely to be one.

My understanding is that pardons can only be given for a crime that has been formally charged. So no pardons for uncharged crimes I think.
