We all have had our issues with the NMC…but I have to say if things ever go bad, really bad, I’m glad I can count on folks like this … And really proud that my best friend’s son is in the photo!

I don’t think anyone here will lump the SAR guys together with the NMC when assigning feeling to the USCG. I certainly do not. I have seen them first hand airlift an injured mariner from a confining deck space in rough weather. Steady hands and balls of steel!

As an active duty CG member I can honestly say there should be no comparison between the two divisions. When I went for my upgrade recently I was hassled the same way anyone would be. It was really discouraging because I was dealing with MY OWN employer.

I’m an old Navy SAR swimmer, these guys are part of the LA/LB MSST…
