The MITAGS QA online Class is $175 ( or was in 2016 when I got my QA) A few hours to do that class and get the USCG QA application done. I had my QA about 6 weeks after I submitted for it. I considered the $175 a cheap price to pay to be able to condcut the assessments with my OSs and ABs that were serious about upgrading.
