Super Typhoon Mawar has reached max winds of 160 kts (185 mph) around 00Z/26th producing significant wave heights up to 68 ft (20.7 meters). Mawar is forecast to move WNW with some slow weakening during the next 48 hrs as the center moves away from the area of maximum ocean heat content. After 72 hours cooler SSTs and increasing wind shear will hasten the weakening of Mawar along with a turn towards the NW then north.
