TS Pewawas located over the west-central North Pacific today about 435 NM ESE of WakeIsland and was moving northwest at about 13 knots with winds to 50 knots. Pewa is forecast to strengthenover the next 72 hours as it moves over warm ocean water and should reachtyphoon intensity in about 24hrs.
