Tropical Storm Emily Forms

Tropical Storm Emily has formed from the tropical disturbance that had been moving eastward across the tropical North Atlantic during the past few days. Surface reports and data from an Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft found a circulation center near the Island of Dominica. Peak surface winds are 35 Knots.

Update: As of 11AM EDT TS Emily remains poorly organized with max winds of only 35 knots and a relatively high central pressure of 1007mb. If Emily does not get itself together soon then it may just break up crossing Hispaniola…
