Testing at REC Charleston vs Baltimore

I did a search first but couldn’t find much. Has anyone recently tested at Charleston? How’s the parking? How’s the test facility? Any other thoughts? I am familiar with the area otherwise.

I have tested at Baltimore before and it’s closer to home but I thought I’d head south this time.

Parking is on the street outside of the main gate. REC is its inside the gate on the first building that you come to. Hotels and sights are far better in Charleston. Facility is nice and so are the folks working there. I would choose Charleston over Baltimore any day.

I had a good experience there. Street parking seemed really easy. The exam room will furnish universal plotting sheets, only. If you prefer to use position plotting sheets, you will need to bring your own. Good luck testing.

I agree with captain76, his post is spot on. The drive to and from the waterfront site is easy too.

Thanks guys for your thoughtful replies. Sorry about the late response. I went out of town with Mr. Catherder and left the laptop at home. Now it’s study time. I’m using Lapware and Seasources plus books.
