I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight to SUNY Maritime’s graduate program. I just graduated from SUNY-Purchase College and am considering applying. I mainly would like to know more about the career opportunities that one would have upon graduation, especially if they decided not to sail deep sea. Also how will is this degree is respected in the maritime industry? Any information would help. Thanks.

I enjoyed the program, but have been sailing consistently since graduation. Not sure how the degree is looked upon by industry professionals ashore. I’d imagine it is, at the very least, no better or worse than any other M.S. degree.
