Strategic Sealift Readiness Group (SSRG) SSOs are required to maintain an active MMC with STCW endorsement. SSRG SSOs can request Active Duty for Training (ADT) orders to attend the courses above in Fiscal Year 2016 as a 1[SUP]st[/SUP] or 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] ADT. SSO Program funded ADT orders will cover pay and allowances, travel (if necessary), and per diem. ADT orders will not cover the cost of the course. Enrollment in a course does not guaranteed paid ADT orders. If funding is not available, non-pay ADT will be offered. SSRG ADT funding priority will be based on maintaining advanced MMCs. SSOs can request orders to attend courses at any CONUS maritime training institution with preference to local institutions where possible. To request ADT orders to attend these courses, submit the following to the program office at MMR_Program_office@navy.mil:

SELRES SSOs will have to coordinate with their Operational Support Officer (OSO) for the use of Annual Training or Active Duty for Training orders. SELRES SSOs are required to maintain an active MMC, but are not required to maintain an active STCW endorsement as per OPNAVINST 1534.1D.

All SSOs who complete STCW courses while NOT on orders are eligible for STCW course completion retirement point credit at one point per four hours for up to 35 points per anniversary year, as per RESPERSMAN 1534-030 and 1534-040.
