I don’t believe Bannon is part of the circle. He’s a nativist self important nutcase of Breitbart fame but he did help the Trump campaign in 2016 a great deal by focusing the message. He and Trump apparently got along well and had some things in common. Then Bannon started saying bad things about Trump’s family and off he goes.
In the end Bannon did himself in, he couldn’t help it really. Grifters gonna grift it’s in their DNA.

If Bannon sings POTUS45’s praises, while lying and obfuscating to the court, and showing disrespect for all sacred institutions of American justice, he can expect a full pardon. If however he says boo about POTUS45, his family, or friends, Bannon will serve time in Club Fed.

Blasting Biden’s incendiary pro-compassion rhetoric, Trump said that the “roomful of sociopaths” with whom he watched the speech found it “alienating and divisive.”
“I was watching with Jared, Stephen Miller, and Mitch McConnell, and when Biden started in on the empathy stuff, we all felt very alone,” he said. “He said that he wants to be a President for all Americans, but I guess that doesn’t include sociopaths.”
Calling Biden “a puppet of compassionate extremists,” he demanded that the former Vice-President apologize to every sociopath in the country.
“Sociopaths have feelings, just not for other people,” he said.

While it is fair to say that Bannon is probably no longer part of the so-called “Trump inner-circle”, Bannon was CEO of the Trump Campaign in 2016, and later served as Chief Strategist in the Trump administration for the first seven months.
The important thing, IMNSHO, is that we’re down to arresting Trumps. If I have to endure a snake-oil salesman, I’m eager to get on with my favorite part of enduring a snake-oil salesman: the “tarring and feathering”.

The Trump University scam was settled with a $25 million dollar settlement. That was nothing compared to the money they made from that scam. No one went to Club Fed.
The Donald J Trump Foundation scam which was supposed to support charitable causes and was run by him and his children was found to not be what they claimed but rather a scheme to enrich themselves. They paid a 2 million dollar fine and called it a day. It was a minor cost compared to how much they made off the scam. No one went to Club Fed
The Trumps are minor league scammers.
JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Barclays and UBS plead guilty to scamming everyone on the planet with foreign exchange rate scam. It cost everyone with higher prices. Result? They paid altogether 2.5 billion in fines which is a rounding error for the trillions they make. No one went to jail and the CEOs didn’t even lose their multi million dollar a year jobs. No one went to Club Fed.
There is a different system of justice for the rich and connected.

Maybe, but the Trumps don’t have the 3+ decades of political connections & appointments that the Kennedys, Johnson, Nixon, Bush’s & Clintons have/had. There’s plenty in both parties who would like to teach the new-comer Trumps a lesson. We went into uncharted territory when the casino owner/reality TV star was elected directly to the highest office on the planet. I don’t think they have the seniority in our corrupt system to be untouchables or to be too important to go to jail. With all the hatred & extremism I wouldn’t be totally surprised if the far left tried to give Donald & Melania the same sentence as Marie & Louis.

Supposedly this forum has experienced and seasoned voters with good memories of past leaders… I really don’t give a shit how you vote, but don’t try to sell the one party is better than the other. The Republicans clearly have the most deaths on their hands, whether it’s the war, the Iraq invasion and destabilizing the region, and then walking away, to the current pandemic. Lawlessness and corruption?—Iran Contra, Watergate, everything going on right now. There is no honest comparison to the Dem admins of the last few decades; there is a clear stand out party in the lawlessness, corruption and body count department. But tax cuts over health care, means more apparently to some seasoned voters.
Then how do you explain this guy?

Steve Bannon is a business partner of the yacht’s owner, Guo Wengui, also known as Miles Kwok. Guo is reported to be one of China’s most-wanted, accused of myriad crimes by the Chinese government, including paying bribes and sexual assault. He maintains his innocence, saying the charges are politically motivated. Guo is currently seeking political asylum in the United States, where he reportedly avoided deportation by the Trump administration after the president learned Guo was a member of Mar-a-Lago. The Miami Herald reports that some allege that Guo is, in fact, a Chinese spy.
Perhaps a few members might want to look up the concepts of “moral equivalence” and “logical fallacy.”
