Was locked in the toilet when the boat ran aground

On the night of Thursday, February 13th, something went terribly wrong when the fishing boat ran aground in Finnmark.
After accidents, skippers or shipping companies are responsible for sending a report to the Norwegian Maritime Authority.

The report, which Fiskeribladet has been given access to, states that the skipper was reportedly locked in the toilet when the boat ran aground.
“Went to the toilet about 10 minutes before grounding. Couldn’t get the door open again before it slammed. Then the crew came and unlocked it. Stood on the rocks,” the description of the accident says.

Fiskeribladet has tried to get an interview with the skipper and owner of the boat without success.
