Does anyone know what the different STCW codes are for tankers? All I have been able to find is that V/1 is tanker familiarization… Thanks.
Under the current STCW, V/I is the only Regulation for tank vessels. The specific scope of the endorsement will be noted under capacity and limitations section of the STCW certificate/endorsement. Under the 2010 amendments, oil and chemical tankers will be V/1-1, and LG will be V/1-2. Again, the scope of the endorsement will be noted as the capacity/limitation on the endorsement.
