Shipboard Firefighting Robot

What do you all think?

MOBILE, Ala. (Nov. 6, 2014) John Seminatore, a graduate student at Virginia Tech, secures the Office of Naval Research-sponsored Shipboard Autonomous Firefighting Robot (SAFFiR) during testing aboard the Naval Research Laboratory’s ex-USS Shadwell in Mobile, Alabama. The bipedal humanoid robot, developed as a test bed for autonomous firefighting and damage control operations, was tethered to a power source for demonstrations aboard the Navy’s fire test platform. Don’t get water on him!

I think it will become self aware and eliminate anyone in its way.

It looks like it will take 4 guys and 2hrs just to get the robot in position to fight the fire.

I think the Navee wastes too much money on STOOPID toys…

^^^^ I’m coming around to your way of thinking. What a goofy looking contraption. . Are OBAs still around?

WOW! The robot is very interesting. Thanks Rob!
