Most of my sea time comes from working as a mate on a dive boat. Like most other shops, we run two trips each day. Both trips are longer than the required 4 hours. Would you be able to count these as one day for each trip, meaning 2 days in one, for OUPV sea time? If so, since I work six days a week could you have more than 30 days in a month?
No way can you count each trip as a day. I think you can only get 8 hour days on this vessel anyway not a day and a half. I am sure someone will chime in. I ran into this early on when I was getting my 100 ton. I had a lot of small boat (21’ wellcraft) sea service and I could only use 8 hour days.

You cannot have two days of sea time on the same calendar day. Outside of regs., does that make any sense?.. I guess about as much as sense as 6 X 4 = +30. NO and NO to your questions.
