 		  		 			 		We currently have an opening for a Tug Master with one of our clients in Libya.

All candidates MUST have all the qualifications below to be considered for the position.

[li]A valid 2nd Mate Ticket/License issued by an approved International Maritime Academy[/li][li]Ten (10) years of Marine related experience as Deck Officer/Tug Master Most Especially as Rotary Tug (Schottel Tug) Master experience[/li][li]Fluency in English Language (read & write).[/li][li]Holders of Master’s & 1st Mate Tickets/Licenses may be accepted[/li][/ul]
Principal Responsibilities

[ol]
[li]The Tug Master is responsible for undertaking towage in accordance with ‘‘Libyan Port Authority’’ operating procedures.[/li][li]Ensuring that he is fully familiar with the requirements of the fleet regulations and other documents which comprise the safety management system[/li][li]Ensuring that workers on his vessel are aware of the contents of applicable risk assessments.[/li][li]Ensuring that onboard procedures are established to implement the requirements of the Marine Circulars and other safety management system documents.[/li][li]Motivating his crew in the observation of the council safety and environmental policy.[/li][li]Issuing appropriate orders in a clear and simple, unambiguous manner.[/li][li]Ensuring that periodical reviews of the safety management system are carried out and deficiencies are reported to the designated person.[/li][li]Ensuring that crew members newly appointed to the vessel are properly inducted regarding vessel familiarization, operational training and procedures.[/li][li]Ensuring that the requirements of law, codes of practice fleet regulations and industry guidelines are complied with, having particular reference to[/li][ul]
[li]Maintenance of seaworthiness[/li][li]Safe navigation of the vessel[/li][li]Holding of on board drills, musters and training[/li][li]Protection of the environment[/li][/ul]

[li]Observance of safe working practice with regard to the code of safe working practices.[/li][li]Proper completion of statutory documentation, including official Log Books, Departmental Log Books, Oil record books and the keeping of records as required.[/li][li]Ensuring the vessel is operated as per fleet regulations, national law and local Port/Harbor by-Law[/li][li]Ensuring that the vessel is maintained as required by the Marine Engineer/Superintendent and is in all respects seaworthy before commencement of each voyage.[/li][li]Exercising discipline as necessary to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.[/li][li]Reporting to the Terminal/Marine Supt. Any defects or other matters which could conceivably affect the safe operation of the vessel or which may present a risk of damage to the environment.[/li][li]Encouraging effective and pertinent communication between crew, line personnel and shore based management, following the routes and methods set out in the safety management system.[/li][li]Arranging for First Aid attention to be available on board by properly qualified person(s)/[/li][li]Ensuring that any reportable accidents or incidents are properly recorded and reported and that any material evidence is kept for expert inspection.[/li][/ol]

AHTS Chief Officer - 63573

Change Internationals client, a leading provider of offshore support services now requires a permanent Chief Officer with excellent AHTS vessel experience to join there fleet of state of the art DP vessels. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading firm and undertake challenging projects.

As Chief Officer you will work back to back with the Master onboard taking over all vessel handling duties and running the bridge in his or her absence.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee 2nd Officers
  • Vessel handling with laying Anchors
  • Safe running of the vessel
  • Ensure that company and country HSE standards are being adhered to
  • Working closely with clients as required
  • Up keep of company paperwork
  • Navigation and positioning of the vessel

Requirements:

  • Chief Officer Unlimited COC
  • DP Unlimited
  • EU Passport holder
  • Minimum of 1 years experience as Chief officer onboard an AHTS Vessel
  • Happy to work in the North Sea and Internationally as required
  • Happy to work to a 4 weeks on / off rotation pattern if in the North Sea or 6 weeks on / off if international
  • Able to commence employment in January 2013

Start Date: January 2013

Salary & Benefits:

Base salary starting from: £53000 GBP (UK tax and NI is paid at source but may be claimed back)

Benefits:

  • 20 years seniority scale. Every year you are with the Company there will be an increase a seniority.
  • Pay deals are negotiated in conjunction with the Unions every year. In 2011 a salary pay deal increase of 2% across the board was agreed
  • Bonus of up to £3500 paid annually
  • Share incentive scheme
  • Option of joining the company pension
  • After 6 months of service, the Company provide 1 month full sick and 1 months half pay and then after a year’s service this increases to 2 months full, 4 months half.
  • In the event of death in service the Company provide 2 times your annual salary to your Next of Kin.
  • Medicals are paid for by the company, should you pay for them, you will be able to claim the monies back
  • Travel is paid for and arranged by the company, however, should you incur travel expenses you will be able to claim the monies back

Ably Resources are currently seeking experienced Ballast Control Room Operators to work in the North Sea on a 2/3 rotation.

[B]Duties include but not limited to :[/B]
• Front line maintenance where qualified or assists with maintenance work on marine systems
• Ballasting, trim and stability of the vessel
• Gas freeing tanks for entry
• Wheelhouse remains manning.
• Monitor vessel status
• Ensure FPV position and heading is maintained operating windlasses as required
• Ensures accurate records on movements of vessels, aircraft, personnel and materials
• Responsible for isolation and preparation of equipment for maintenance

Technical :
• Maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Maintain complete and accurate records within the Maintenance Management System
• Adhere to all legislative, environmental and company standards and procedures
• Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency and cut cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to relevant management.
• Support team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices
