Does anybody have the rfpnw training log form? It’s not included with the assessments for some reason.
Not really. The requirement is for 6 months of sea time, or an approved training program that includes at least 60 days of shipboard training. If it’s just a course, it doesn’t change anything. It must be a complete training program in whicjh the school has training agreements with vessel operators, and the vessel takes you on as a trainee (not a regular AB, OS, or deck hand). If all you do is go to the school for a few days, the most you’ll get is an endorsement as RFPNW for look out only. To remove the lookout restriction, you need to get ALL the sea time and do the assessments.
damn I was hoping I could take the class and have my time reduced. Thanks for the info before I took the class next week.
Google: RFPNW ASSESSMENTS quality maritime
That should get you to a bonafide copy. It’s about 26 pages long

Try Fletcher Technical Community College, all of the assessments are offered on a simulator. Then you are required only sixty days of watch standing time on vessels over 200 GRT after you complted the course. You will still need to meet the requirement of 180 days but only 60 need to be over 200 GRT.
Call the school they will explain it to you
Good luck
