Any new policies on renewing in 2012
none that I know. Copy of mmd, twic, physical form, sea time application copy of radar renewal if it’s time and any other doc’s you have not sent in.
Make sure you send all the paperwork to your local REC, so they can forward it to NMC. I made that mistake and they sent everything back to me.
I emailed my application, and all other documents last Sunday to Hawaii in 3 labeled emails <10mb and I also checked the homeport site and entered my info for application status, but nothing in the system yet. Yesterday I sent another email to Hawaii asking the status of my application, and it is now Friday night and I have still not heard back anything.
I followed the instructions for emailing exactly, and don’t know why this has taken 5 working days with no word at all. Is this common? Any suggestions of what to do now?

This is very common system delay !,
I just did my (MMC) renewal on March 27th,
and the USCG Homeport system did not show any information for 5 working days !,
and then I received an automated USCG email saying that my application was accepted !
if you did not receive an email yet saying the the REC has accepted your application then you need to contact your local REC ASAP !
