I know it is popular now to beat up on Musk, Tesla & those Cyber Trucks but in 100 years from now when you have to scoot your beach towels back a centimeter because the sea levels have risen that much you’re going to regret it! Laugh & post all the Cyber Truck memes you want but you’ll see.
Hope they are careful how they focus that sucker. Awhile back, a building was built in a curved shape and when the sun hit just right, the reflection melted a very expensive car. Hate to walk down the sidewalk when that sucker is focused just right.

Here’s a trillion dollar idea I had when I was 10 years old when I first learned the concept of the operation of steam locomotives/steam engines. Burning leafs with magnify glasses a few years before helped me come up with it too. Why not have a giant magnify glass attached to a set of giant archs like the one they have in St Louis? Or even magnify glasses floating in outer space to not be worried with cloud cover. Then aim the ray at an encased reservoir of water on the ground to boil water & produce steam. Later when I learned how we turned coal into electricity my idea seemed even better. Near unlimited steam energy from the sun? I think our technology is catching up to my 10 year old imagination so perhaps one day?

You are behind times. These days it’s all about Musk.
That would be great until some “evil general” decides to weaponize it. Don’t you ever watch SyFy? 3/4 of the threats to the world are because of the “Pentagon”. Also, there are very few catastrophes that can’t be cured with a well-placed nuke.
I try to keep a low profile .
But stay assured on this forum I am catching up, catching up fast man.
